NoBloMo #11 - We Landed on a Comet!!

Earlier today, the European Space Agency (ESA) successfully landed an unmanned space traveller named the Philae probe onto a comet called 67P, about 310 million miles away.

Let that register for a moment. We just landed something on a comet.

Celebratory Movie-Viewing Material

So, immediately, the first movie that comes to mind is NOT "Armageddon" (get outta here!), but a 1985 Claymation movie called "The Adventures of Mark Twain."

It's about Mark Twain's fictional characters coming to life and actually meeting the author himself, who's on a quest to chase Halley's Comet. Twain was born around the time Halley's Comet entered Earth's atmosphere, and he would later quote about it.
"The Almighty has said, no doubt: 'Now here are these two unaccountable freaks; they came in together, they must go out together.'"
It's an incredibly deep animation that delves into Twain's works, thoughts, and life. It's available to stream through Netflix, so I suggest viewing it to commemorate today's landing! If you do, let me know what you think!

Until tomorrow, I leave you with this.
