If you were like me and was one of the early adopters of a Nintendo 3DS, you probably felt a little betrayed with the recent $80 price drop down to $169.99. In an effort to not completely alienate people who bought their portables early, they initiated the 3DS Ambassador Program, which gives these people access to 20 free games - 10 NES games, and 10 SNES games - to download. The first 10 games, all NES games, were just released to 3DS Ambassadors yesterday, which included:
- Super Mario Bros.
- Metroid
- Balloon Fight
- Donkey Kong Jr.
- Wrecking Crew
- Yoshi
- Ice Climbers
- NES Open
- The Legend of Zelda
- Zelda II: The Adventures of Link
It took me less than 8 minutes to download all 10 titles, despite people's initial complaints that the process is long.
Don't forget that there's still a whole batch of 10 SNES games left to download come mid September!
