The Last Guy is First on my Playlist

What's the plot of The Last Guy? Monsters have taken over the world, and its up to you (the last guy) to guide all survivors to the Escape Zone safely. Sounds simple enough, and hardly enough meat for a real game. So why the popularity?

Everything about The Last Guy screams casual, from its quirky and catchy music to its simplistic gameplay. You can pick it up and play for 5 minutes or 5 hours, and you'd be satisfied no matter what length of time you play it at.

The Last Guy also uses aerial imagery to create the basis of their many levels, giving the illusion that the monsters and zombies are truly wrecking havoc in the world. You play this character that goes around collecting survivors in a long line. As the line becomes longer, your stamina increases. However, with a longer line, your survivors are more exposed and prone to monster attacks. So there is always a constant gamble whether you decide to keep an extremely long line, or play it safe and save smaller increments of people at a time.

And because the game employs such a simple way to create levels, you can be sure to see many more level updates in the future.

The Last Guy is out now for $9.99 on PSN, a decent price for a game that exudes replayability.
